Tulane AI-Related Workshops, Training and Seminars
- Applied AI Literacy Badge (NTC Career Services, CAIDS)
- Curated modules on Canvas allow students (and any other Tulane affiliates) to become AI literate. Those who complete the modules can earn a badge to display on their LinkedIn profile.
- The Mastering AI Workshop Series (CAIDS, CELT, TUL)
- A series of workshops taking participants beyond the basics to become power users of the AI platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini/NotebookLM. Participants were mostly faculty and staff.
- Lunch and Learn Seminar Series on Applied AI (CEAI, CAIDS)
- The Center for Community-Engaged AI (CEAI) and CAIDS co-run a catered interdisciplinary workshop series for faculty, grad students, staff, and community partners on how AI is used and evaluated in multiple fields.
- Demystifying AI in Public Health Symposium (WSPH, CAIDS, SSE, TII)
- Full-day symposium on AI/ML applications in public health.
- AI Training Workshops in Career Development Club (TUL, CAIDS, SSE, Taylor)
- Added four AI workshops focused on research to the joint BIRCWH/COBRE/LA CaTS club focused on mentoring junior faculty (PI: Krousel-Wood).
- W.A.V.E. (Workshops for AI Visionaries and Educators) (ILC, CELT)
- A hybrid workshop series, roughly every three weeks, that covers topics ranging from AI fundamentals, research, instructional planning, and general productivity.
- Using AI in course design, assessment creation, in-class activities, etc. (CELT)
- CELT offers one-on-one consultations with Eunice Ofori, CELT's Senior Instructional Designer. Eunice earned her PhD from Virginia Tech in Instructional Design and Technology. These consultations are meant to provide you and/or your colleagues the opportunity to confidentially discuss course design, syllabi construction, active learning activities, assessment creation, classroom management, educational technology, etc
- AI Workshops (TUL)
- Tulane University Libraries (TUL) offers AI workshops throughout the academic year, and librarians are also available for on-demand courses and for workshops with specific groups. Workshop topics include Coding with AI, Using AI for Literature Reviews, and Plagiarism and Academic Integrity 101 in the Age of AI.
