Dr. Juan Terré joined the Tulane University SOM - Section of Cardiology in June of 2022 as an Associate Professor of Medicine. He was hired as Co-director of the LSU-Tulane Structural Heart & Valve program at the University Medical Center New Orleans.

Dr. Terré was born in Rosario, Argentina, where he attended Universidad Nacional de Rosario and earned his medical degree. Dr. Terré underwent Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease training in the HPC, the largest academic hospital in the Argentine Atlantic coast, followed by his Interventional Cardiology fellowship in Instituto Cardiovascular Atlántico, both in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Subsequently, he joined The Mount Sinai Hospital/Ichan School of Medicine in New York City for specialized fellowships, first in Complex Coronary interventions followed by a fellowship in Structural Heart Disease Interventions. Afterwards, Dr. Terré joined the NYP/ Columbia University Medical Center, where he first served as a fellow in the Structural Heart and Valve Center and lately as an Instructor in Medicine and Associate Research Scientist.

 Dr. Terré focus is  Transcatheter minimally invasive interventions for acquired structural heart disease (TAVR, TMVR, TTVR, PVL Closure), congenital heart disease (TTVR, TPVR, ASD Closure, VSD Closure) and stroke prevention interventions (PFO/LAAO). He is also focused on complex coronary interventions (3 V CAD, Low ejection fraction and LV support devices).
