Biography

Anneliese Singh, PhD, LPC (she/they) is a Professor in the School of Social Work with a joint appointment in the Department of Psychology and serves as Associate Provost for Faculty Development and Chief Officer for Academic Excellence & Opportunity at Tulane University. 

Dr. Singh's scholarship explores the resilience, trauma, and identity development experiences of queer and trans people, with a focus on young people and people of color. Dr. Singh has written extensively on multicultural counseling competency in the helping professions. Dr. Singh is the author of The Racial Healing Handbook and The Queer and Trans Resilience Workbook. 

Dr. Singh co-founded the Trans Resilience Project and Georgia Safe Schools Coalition to help LGBTQ+ research findings improve school and community-based environments including NIH-funded work with trans and nonbinary people in Project AFFIRM. Dr. Singh is a co-author of Successful Academic Writing: A Complete Guide for Social and Behavioral Scientists and Qualitative Research in Education and Social Sciences.
