Tulane University offers two teaching awards, announced at or just before commencement. The first of these awards, the President's Awards for Excellence in Teaching, established in 2000, is dedicated to recognizing outstanding graduate and professional teaching. Two winners are chosen per academic year and awards are given at the Unified Commencement Ceremony.

The second award is the Weiss Presidential Fellowship, established in 2007. The Weiss Fellowship is dedicated to recognizing exceptional undergraduate teaching, and was made possible by a generous gift from Suzanne and Stephen Weiss. Two winners are chosen per academic year, and awards are given at the Unified Commencement Ceremony.
